Taste of West Cobb

Marietta, Ga. – Hillgrove High School Bands, in cooperation with The Avenue West Cobb, announce the second annual Taste of West Cobb. The culinary and music festival will be hosted by the vibrant open-air lifestyle center in Marietta on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. With more than 25 of the finest restaurants in Cobb County participating, the 2009 Taste of West Cobb will be a delectable event with children’s activities and entertainment from Hillgrove High School’s student band members, as well as other local bands, dance companies and choruses. 

Each participating restaurant, including Aspens Signature Steaks, Theo’s Bros. Bakery and more, will feature popular signature menu items at special “taste” prices of $1 to $4. Event admission is free and taste tickets can be purchased in packs of 20. Taste of West Cobb ticket proceeds will benefit the award-winning Hillgrove High School Bands of Powder Springs, Ga. 

“We are expecting great things in the coming years with our young band program here at Hillgrove High School,” said Christopher Ferrell, Hillgrove High School Director of Bands. “The Taste of West Cobb fundraiser is crucial to our success. With the leadership of the Band Booster association, parent volunteers, incredible young musicians, and our partners at The Avenue West Cobb, we are sure the second annualTaste of West Cobb will be another huge success for our program,” he continued. 

In addition to the Hillgrove High School Bands, the Lovinggood Band, Kemp Elementary Honor Chorus, Clarkedale Elementary Band and Chorus and other talented students are also scheduled to perform at the event.
