Marietta, Ga. - The Avenue® East Cobb opened its doors one decade ago and ushered in Cobb County’s renaissance. The outdoor lifestyle center’s dynamic retail mix was a welcome complement to the county’s growing availability of family housing and quality schools, and remains an integral part of the community today.

A pioneer of the lifestyle center concept, The Avenue East Cobb was Cousins Properties’ first of eight such developments. The center opened with retailers that, at the time, were considered “enclosed mall” tenants, including Gap, Victoria’s Secret and Pottery Barn – all which are still at The Avenue East Cobb today. In fact, the center has retained 19 of its founding tenants.

Over its 10 years, The Avenue East Cobb has kept a pulse on shopping habits and preferences by interacting with its customers and ensuring its wide cross-section of national retailers and local boutiques reflect the community’s needs. A testament to this fact, The Avenue features the largest Williams-Sonoma in metro Atlanta and will welcome several new retailers this fall, including baby clothier Nestled Newborn, local fashionista go-to clothing boutique Sage Clothing and tanning spa Solar Dimensions.

In addition, the center has become a community gathering spot, bringing residents together through family friendly events like the annual fall festival, which typically draws more than 2,000 residents and visitors alike, holiday carriage rides and more.
