Santa Trades Sleigh for a Big Rig

Monday, Nov 9, 8:42AM
Collierville, Tenn. – Rudolph and his friends will be able to take some time off this November when Santa arrives at The Avenue Carriage Crossing. He has traded in his sleigh for a big rig truck customized and driven by the cast of CMT’s hit series “Trick My Truck.” On Tuesday, Nov. 24, the “tricked out” truck carrying Santa will arrive in Collierville at The Avenue Carriage Crossing.

“Santa is arriving in high gear this holiday season,” said Eugene Schmitt – general manager, The Avenue Carriage Crossing. “We want families to start a new holiday tradition enjoying The Avenue Carriage Crossing’s Santa arrival - the most distinctive around.”

Families will be able to track Santa’s progress on his journey from the North Pole to Collierville through The Avenue Carriage Crossing’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/avenuecarriagecrossing.

Santa has a special surprise planned for the boys and girls of Collierville once he arrives – he will unveil the 2009 Habitat for Humanity playhouse, which will be permanently housed in The Children’s Park at The Avenue Carriage Crossing for all to enjoy. In addition to the unveiling, families will be able to enjoy complimentary cookie decorating, photos with Santa and the six-member cast of “Trick My Truck,” music, train rides and more.

Activities begin at 7 p.m., and Santa will visit with children until 9 p.m. For more information on upcoming events at The Avenue Carriage Crossing, including Breakfast with Santa, train rides, Santa photos, and holiday sales and promotions, visit www.shoptheavenue.com.
