Atlanta – The Avenue® West Cobb announces the third annual Taste of West Cobb in support of Hillgrove High School Music Education Programs. The free culinary and music festival will be hosted by the open-air lifestyle center in Marietta on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. With more than 30 of the finest restaurants in Cobb County, the 2010 Taste of West Cobb will be a delectable event with children’s activities and entertainment from Hillgrove High School’s student band members, as well as other local bands, dance companies and choruses.
 
Each participating restaurant, including Aspens Signature Steaks, Great Harvest Bread Company, Johnny's Pizza, La Parrilla, Maggiano's Little Italy, Moe's Southwest Grill, Panera Bread, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Stevi B's Pizza Buffet, Theo's Bros. Bakery, West Cobb Diner and Zaxby's, will feature popular signature menu items at special “taste” prices of $1 to $4. Event admission is free and taste tickets can be purchased in packs of 20. Taste of West Cobb ticket proceeds will benefit the award-winning Hillgrove High School Music Education Program.
 
“Community support from the Taste of West Cobb has been instrumental in the Hillgrove Band program growing from 60 students when Hillgrove High School opened in 2006, to over 200 in the music education program,” said Christopher Ferrell, Hillgrove High School Director of Bands. “Not only has the band grown in numbers, but the music program has been recognized for music excellence.”
 
Family activities and children's entertainment will be provided by participating retailers and other Partners in Education, including Hillgrove High School Bands, Kemp Elementary School, Lost Mountain Middle School, Lovinggood Middle School, Spirit of the Dance Group, Learning Express and Natural Body Spa & Shop. In addition, attendees will have the chance to win more than $1,000 in raffle prizes from The Avenue retailers and participating community supporters.
